Dr. Alan E. Blanchard, DDS (general dentist in Anderson, SC)
After completing his undergraduate education at Florida State University and Clemson University, Dr. Blanchard graduated from Emory University Dental School.
Before establishing his own family practice, Dr. Blanchard served as a dentist in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of captain. He has been practicing at this location since 1985.
Married for forty-three years to Julie Kirbo Blanchard, Dr. and Mrs. Blanchard have two sons and are expecting their fourth grandchild.
When not working, Dr. Blanchard enjoys woodworking, running, and spending time with family. He is an elder in the Presbyterian Church and also serves on several boards including the YMCA and Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Piedmont Dental Society, Anderson Dental Society, and South Carolina Dental Association.
Dr. Byron T. Guffee, DMD (general dentist, Anderson, SC)
Dr. Guffee is a Pendleton native and a 2005 graduate of Clemson University. He lives by the philosophy that "you should treat others as you want to be treated." He is compassionate when it comes to his patients' needs and is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care without any discomfort. While being a dedicated doctor and devoted friend to his patients, Dr. Guffee is also a loving husband to his wife Kayla Thrasher Guffee. They have been happily married for three years. She is also a Pendleton native, and a first grade teacher at Calhoun Academy of the Arts. They are both active in their church and community.
In addition to spending quality time with his wife, Dr. Guffee enjoys fishing, golf, visiting with family and friends, and volunteering at local free dental clinics. He is a member of the Christian Dental Community Fellowship Mission Team. As a member of this team he has been on four dental mission trips to Ecuador, South America and Burundi, Africa to help those less fortunate.
Dr. Guffee is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina where he excelled and was the recipient of several academic and clinical awards. He was the recipient of the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry Award and the MUSC Pediatric Dentistry Award for his excellence in clinical skills as voted on by his professors. His academic awards include multiple scholarships and the MUSC President's List and Dean's List all four years. Dr. Guffee is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the local Piedmont District Dental Society.
